The Top 15 are ranked according to how good I think they are. The other 15 are not ranked at all.

30. Whiskey in a Jar - Metallica
Written By Traditional.
A lot of groups have recorded this song, including Dubliners and Thin Lizzy. In my humble opinion this is the ultimate version. It suits the song to be played this hard and rough!
Ultimate version: Studio Recording.

29. You Reaaly Got Me  - Van Halen.
Written by Ray Davies
It´s just a cover, no more, no less. But it sounds better with Eddie´s heavy riffing and Lee Roth has a great voice for this one!
Ultimate version: Studio recording.

28. Wild Thing - Jimi Hendrix
Written by Chip Taylor.
First recorde by The Wild Ones in 1965. In 1966 The Troggs recorded it and got a huge hit, but nothing beats Jimi´s version from Monterey 1967.
Ultimate vsersion: Live at Monterey

27. I fought the law - Ducks Deluxe
Written by
Sonny Curtis
First recorded in 1959 by The Crickets,  then covered by Bobby Fuller and a bunch of other bands over the years. None of them as good as this version though.
Ultimate version: Studio recording.

26. Blowin´ in the wind - The Hollies

This version is much more "pop" than Dylan´s original. I loved it when I was a kid and it sticks.
Ultimate version: Studio recording.

25. When I was young - Riot

Stones original version is kinda os slow, and this one gets you in a party mode.

This is as much Stones as it can be for NOT being a Stones original.
